Grab your shopping bags and head on over to the Boca Raton Green Market scheduled for each Saturday, from October through May, 8am – 1pm. As with all markets operating in the Palm Beach County area, Boca’s Green Market is dedicated to local food production and consumption and encouraging direct from farm to table and supporting the Florida agricultural industry and the economy of the area. Each Saturday, fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables – along with fresh herbs, juices, fresh cut flowers, plants, fresh baked goods, prepared foods, doggie treats, sugar, hydroponic and organic foods -are available for purchase. In addition, health information and food samplings are available. The Market also includes a limited assortment of related arts and crafts – many of them handmade – including pottery, silk flowers, and more. Community service organizations are also on hand to share information or to promote a special project. Live music takes place on select Saturdays featuring the talents of local musicians. A continental breakfast and lunch are also available.
Best of all, Boca’s Green Market has become THE place to visit on Saturday mornings – where friends come together for a quick cup of fresh coffee and where friends depart with shopping bags filled with the freshest of produce – all taking place in an outdoor market setting in the heart of beautiful downtown Boca Raton. It’s just a fun place to be on Saturday morning in a relaxed atmosphere and a place for the entire family to enjoy a few hours in the outdoors.
