2nd Annual FREE Kids’ Cookie Decoration Contest & Toy Drive

Calling all kids… Children, of all ages, are invited to decorate holiday cookies at Saquella Cafe on Sunday afternoon, December 16, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Each child who participates in the cookie decorating contest will have the opportunity to decorate two cookies and to compete for cash prizes.
The purpose of this free holiday event is to give children the opportunity to donate toys to other kids. The kids are asked to bring at least one new, unwrapped toy to this fun family-oriented event, which will then be donated to a local children’s charity. In exchange, they will be given two cookies to decorate.Each child who registers will be given a number that will be placed next to their cookies. The judges will choose the most creative cookies and award prizes between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. that day. The children who win first, second, and third place will receive cash prizes.This event is free, and open to children of all ages. As for donations, new, unwrapped toys are needed for children — ranging from infants through age 18.The children will be decorating their cookies on long 60-foot tables which will be placed on the road in front of Saquella, which will be blocked off for this event.
Participants are asked to pre-register for the event by going towww.saquellacafe.com so that they will have an accurate head count. On site registration is also available.
